Spectral density of the Dirac operator in two-flavor QCD
We compute the spectral density of the (Hermitian) Dirac operator in quantum chromodynamics with two light degenerate quarks near the origin. We use CLS/ALPHA lattices generated with two flavors of OðaÞ-improved Wilson fermions corresponding to pseudoscalar meson masses down to 190 MeVand with spacings in the range 0.05–0.08 fm. Thanks to the coverage of parameter space, we can extrapolate our ...
متن کاملSpectral density of the QCD Dirac operator near zero virtuality.
We investigate the spectral properties of a random matrix model, which in the large N limit, embodies the essentials of the QCD partition function at low energy. The exact spectral density and its pair correlation function are derived for an arbitrary number of flavors and zero topological charge. Their microscopic limit provide the master formulae for sum rules for the inverse powers of the ei...
متن کاملMicroscopic Spectrum of the QCD Dirac Operator in Three Dimensions
The microscopic spectral correlators of the Dirac operator in three-dimensional Yang-Mills theory coupled to fundamental fermions and with three or more colours are derived from the supersymmetric formulation of partially quenched effective Lagrangians. The flavour supersymmetry breaking patterns are appropriately identified and used to calculate the corresponding finite volume partition functi...
متن کاملSpectral Properties of the Overlap Dirac Operator in QCD
We discuss the eigenvalue distribution of the overlap Dirac operator in quenched QCD on lattices of size 8, 10 and 12 at β = 5.85 and β = 6. We distinguish the topological sectors and study the distributions of the leading non-zero eigenvalues, which are stereographically mapped onto the imaginary axis. Thus they can be compared to the predictions of random matrix theory applied to the -expansi...
متن کاملThe Microscopic Dirac Operator Spectrum
We review the exact results for microscopic Dirac operator spectra based on either Random Matrix Theory, or, equivalently, chiral Lagrangians. Implications for lattice calculations are discussed.
